FAQs

  • First, email me! Danabtatum@gmail.com

I have limited availability, so I done have an open scheduling system. There best way to schedule is to start a discussion with me about your needs and our shared availability. Once we’ve decided on a shoot type and date, a payment of 20% will secure your spot. The rest will be due on the day of the shoot itself.

  • Yes, we can reschedule for any reason, but I would reschedule for a weekday time slot. I’m willing tp be flexible if my schedule allows, but I cannot guarantee another weekend day shoot during a busy season. If it must be on a weekend, we will discuss availability as the need arises.

  • Since I rely so heavily on natural light for my photography, I have been known to reschedule due to “bad” light- however that depends on our goals for your shoot. I am comfortable shooting indoors, in overcast light, and harsh afternoon light too. Golden hour is nice of course- it’s a different mood. I don’t need for it to be golden hour but I want you to be happy with your photos so this is up for discussion. I’ll check in on the morning of if weather conditions are looking dark & stormy.

  • I try my best to send 5-10 preview images via email about 1 week after the shoot.

You will be able to download high res images directly from the online gallery about 3 weeks after the shoot.

I recommend that you download your full gallery, as I will delete the gallery after 6 months.

  • I cull and edit the best images from our shoot. I typically would shoot several hundred images from a 1-2 hour session, and most clients would be overwhelmed by receiving them all. I also want to be proud of the work that I deliver. However, I would never hold your images hostage. If you’d like to see the full gallery, including the unedited photos please let me know.

  • I prefer to photograph my clients as they are, but yes I can give some light direction. I don’t put people in poses, but I might say something like “look over there, turn this way, step back, etc”.

For styling I recommend sticking to neutral & earthy colors. Loud, busy prints and neons are to be avoided please. I do have some dresses suitable for maternity- just let me know if you’re interested in seeing the options!
